The Rocks in Sydney, is a neighbourhood of historic laneways nestled in the shadow of Sydney Harbour Bridge.
This historic area has some of Sydney’s oldest pubs and many of the upscale restaurants have harbour views.

The Museum of Contemporary Art offers local and international exhibits and Buskers from all over the world perform along the busy harbourfront promenade.

The Rocks area is of course one small part of this area. Located nearby is Circular Quay, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and of course the Sydney Opera House.
No matter which way you view it, the Sydney Opera House is a beautiful and iconic landmark.
Gracing the shores of Sydney harbour, it attracts millions of visitors every year.

Daytime or night time – it is such a marvel.

Walking around the Rocks and foreshore area in the city is easy and very enjoyable. There is so much to see and do. Almost wherever you go, you can see the Harbour Bridge.

Any which way you view the Bridge – it is spectacular!
I highly recommend doing the Harbour Bridge walk, right to top and also right to the other side of the harbour.
Growing up in Sydney, I was lucky enough to be able to hop on a train and head into the city whenever I wanted to.
Now that we live in Queensland, we don’t get to see it that much, but we definitely go the the Rocks area whenever we are in town.
Don’t miss the truly delectable dishes served up at the Guylian Cafe.
Sydney Harbour and the area surrounding it truly is one of the most beautiful spots in the world.
